Speaker 1: Today on this 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite under bed installation kit for high rise fifth wheel trailer hitches, part number 9465-56-5W.Now one nice thing about this particular gooseneck, that some other goosenecks out there don't have is the ability to tow a fifth wheel trailer. Draw-Tite does make a fifth wheel trailer assembly head which will go into the gooseneck and lock into place and you can still tow a fifth wheel trailer as well as your gooseneck trailer.Here's what our gooseneck looks like underneath the bed of our truck. This is where everything's going to be located. That's the key highlight of this system, it's under bed system. So we still have complete and full truck bed access. Speaker 1: Today in our 2013 Silverado we're going to be installing CURT's Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, Part Number C16411-204. This fifth wheel rail kit is custom designed to work with your Silverado. It's going to give you nine locations for many different types of fifth wheels. It will work with all of CURT's fifth wheels, and it will work with most modern fifth wheels of other manufacturers. You may have some issues with older fifth wheels from competitors prior to 2003.They're mounted above your bed on your truck and held in place by side brackets attached to the frame. When you're done using your fifth wheel you can take it off, and the rails will remain inside the bed giving you mostly full bed access.There's some minor drilling in the bed required and all the hardware you need to get installed comes included. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 3500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt custom fifth wheel installation kit in carbide finish part number C16411-204. Now it is also available in a gloss finish using part number C16411-104.Now the whole point of our base rails is so that we can mount a fifth whee hitch in our truck and safely tow either a fifth wheel or a gooseneck down the road. The rails are going to have several different mounting locations in there and they're going to accept industry standard fifth wheel hitches or gooseneck adapters. And the nice thing about our rails is when we're not towing, we can pull our fifth wheel out and our rails are only going to stick up from our bed about an inch and a half.Now our rails do come with a custom installation kit, which is going to cut down on the installation time making it a little bit easier and also reduce the amount of drilling that we're going to have to do. We are going to have to drill five holes per rail in order to get them installed. Those rails in the bed are going to attach to our frame brackets here. more

Now, the reason you're going to want a set of rails like these is because having a set of rails gives you the option not only to tow a 5th wheel trailer, but you can also use a gooseneck trailer with a proper adapter. This is more versatile than just having an underbed system with pucks where you can only use a 5th wheel and you can't use a gooseneck.Now, one thing that's really unique about these rails compared to other rails out there was, if you're using a rail system, most of the time you typically don't know how much the rail is rated for as far as weight capacities. Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500, we're gonna be installing Reese's custom base rails for fifth wheel trailer hitches, part number RP50066-58.These custom designed base rails are gonna allow you to get your fifth wheel hitch installed in your Chevy Silverado with minimal drilling and effort. Included in the kit, you're going to get two base rails for the legs of your hitch, and two side brackets that'll go underneath and attach to your frame, keeping it nice and secure.The side brackets attached to the frame rails using pre-existing holes so there's no drilling into the frame required, and the base rails will be function with most manufacturers fifth wheel heads, so it'll be ready to bolt right up and ready to use once you got it installed.The way these base rails are designed, the pins that hold your fifth wheel in, you can take your fifth wheel out, so will base rails remain in place and the base rails only sit about an inch on top of your bed, so you'll have mostly full bed access once you get your fifth wheel out of there.This kit comes with all the hardware you need to get it installed. It does require some minimal drilling, I'll show you how to do that now.We'll begin our installation by measuring out the first rail closes to the tailgate. You wanna center it in the middle between each side of your truck bed, and then you'll measure from the rear of the truck bed between your tailgate opening and the actual truck bed itself down towards your rail. There are multiple measurements depending on the length of your truck bed, refer to your instructions and set it at the appropriate distance from here to your rail.You'll then mark the hole one in on each side and the center hole towards the cab. You can use a center punch for this, if you've got a spray in bed liner, you can use a paint stick, and then what I like to do before I take it off if I do have spray in bed liner is to just take a drill bit and just mark that a little bit more. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 we're gonna take a look at and show you how to install the Demco Underbed Rail and Installation Kit for the Hijacker fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, part number is DM8551002.Here's one of the great things about the auto slide kit and that's that when you don't need your fifth wheel you're still gonna have full access into the bed of your truck. As you can see the kit's gonna come with four plugs, they're gonna go right over the holes, keep out dirt and debris and while giving us full access to the truck it's gonna prevent anything from going down, getting in our pockets where we need to lock our fifth wheel into place.Now when you're ready to use your auto slide you'll just want to pull out your black, plastic caps a screwdriver, a little pry bar will help you with that. They're meant to fit in there pretty snug which is good you don't want them coming out while you're traveling down the road or anything. Once you have all four off you'll just bring your auto slide in and you'll drop the four pegs right down in the open holes. Of course you want to rotate your locking arms, lock that in position, then we'll put in our locking pins. Now with those all in position our auto slide is gonna be ready for use.Now the installation kit for the Demco auto slide rails is really no different than the installation for any other Gooseneck or fifth wheel. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite custom Underbed installation kit for hi-rise fifth wheel trailer hitch, part number 9465-56-5W.To begin our install we've already gone ahead and removed out spare tire so we have a little bit more room to work. Now we find ourselves in the passengers side wheel well. We need to remove the exhaust heat shield, in order to do that on top of our frame we'll find two 13 millimeter bolts. This is the easiest way to get to them, with a ratcheting wrench. Now underneath the truck our heat shield is held in place with two more bolts, one on the top of our rear cross member and then another one further up forward on the front cross member. With all of our hardware removed the heat shield will now slide out and we can discard it.Now we'll make a mark in the bed of truck where we need to drill out a pilot hole to make our enlarged hole for the gooseneck ball. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the B&W Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit for Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitches, part number BWRVK2502.Here's what our base rails look like, now this is going to allow us to mount up a fifth wheel trailer hitch so we can tow our trailer down the road safely. Our rails here are gonna accept any industry standard fifth wheel hitch that's gonna sit into above the bed rails. Now what you're really gonna appreciate about these rails is the fact that they're not gonna take up that much space in our bed. They're only gonna stick up from the ribs about an inch.Now these are made out of steel and they're gonna have a nice gray, powered coat finish which is gonna give them that distinctive look compared to a lot of other ones that are just that black powered coat.It's gonna utilize custom fit brackets that are gonna go directly into the frame, that's gonna make sure that we use the weld nuts that are already existing so we're not gonna have to drill into the frame, making installation that much easier.Now that we've seen what our rails look like and we've gone over some of the features let's show you how to get them installed. To begin our installation you're gonna want to take one of the rails and go ahead and put it in the truck bed. We're gonna be taking a tape measure and making a few measurements. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're going to be taking a look at showing you how to install the Underbed Rail and Installation Kit for Demco Hijacker 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, part number DM8551002.Here's what our underbed rail kit looks like when it's fully installed. It's gonna provide us four locations to mount our fifth wheel or gooseneck and they do provide us with these covers, so we don't have to worry about any debris getting inside. Our underbed rails are gonna be compatible with the Demco Hijacker 5th Wheel that has the underbed rail mounting system as well as the Demco Hijacker Gooseneck that has the underbed mounting system. As you can see, when we're not towing, we do have the option to take it out and we'll have complete full bed access.Now here we have two rails that are going across our truck bed and as well as these two plates, they're gonna mount to the frame. Now it is a custom installation kit, which means we're not gonna have to drill any holes in our frame, which is gonna save us quite a bit of time and everything is going to be specifically made for your truck.Now, what makes this rail kit a little bit different than most is that it is an underbed kit. A lot of kits have the rails on top, which is not gonna take up a whole lot of room in your bed, but you're looking at about anywhere from an inch to inch and a half that the rails are gonna sitting up there. more

Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, part number C16411-204. So here's what our rails look like fully installed. They're going to allow us to mount a fifth wheel trailer hitch and pull a fifth wheel trailer. And when we're not towing with our fifth wheel, we can go ahead and pull the hitch out and with the hitch out of the bed we're only going to be taking up about an inch of vertical space in our truck bed. Now this is a custom fit application, so it's going to cut down the installation time and require less drilling than most universal kits. These are designed to work with most industry standard above the bed fifth wheel hitches. This is also going to work well with several different goose neck adapters, which is going to be nice if you don't want to cut a big hole in the middle of your bed. It's going to feature a carbide powder coat finish which is going to complement any color truck. Now that we've gone over some of the features, let's show you how we get it installed. more

Curt Fifth Wheel Kit Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to take a look at, and also show you how to install, the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit with carbide finish. The part number is C16411-204. Now, this is what our custom side plates look like installed. You see these bolt directly to the frame using some M16 bolts that go right into weld nuts. That allows for excellent connection points between our frame and the end of our rails up here on each side without the need to drill out the frame or make any kind of modifications. As you can see, the carbide finish is going to give you a nice clean look. We got good sturdy rails and it's gonna offer the three different widths: the outer, middle, and inner widths that are very typical with most standard fifth wheel hitches. more

Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 we'll be having a look at and installing the Demco Underbed Rail and Installation Kit from Demco Hijacker UMS 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, part number DM8551008. All right, here's what our Demco Underbed System looks like installed. As you can see, it doesn't take up any of our valuable bed space. It's completely recessed underneath the bed of our truck, and when we're ready to put in a 5th wheel or a 5th wheel slider it'll just drop in to our puck system. This almost converts our truck to almost like a factory 5th wheel or gooseneck prep package, where they have the pucks underneath the truck. Now, when we're not towing it does come with these plugs that you can snap down into place to keep any dirt and debris from entering down into the rails, making it difficult for your slider or 5th wheel to go into place. When you're ready to tow, they lift out real easily. more

Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Husky custom base rails and installation kit for the fifth wheel hitches, part number is HT31852-686. Now here's what our rail kit's going to look like installed in the bed of the truck. These rails are designed to fit just about any standard fifth wheel out there on the market. We've got the smaller, the medium, and the wide set of connection points. Going to make it work out great. Of course with Husky fifth wheels but also the Curt, the Draw-Tite, the Reese, the Hidden Hitch, the Valley, they should all fit in here as long as it's just a standard style application. From the top of the bed's corrugation to the very top of our bolt, we're looking at about 2 inches, so this by no means is going to give you a perfectly flat, smooth bed but really there aren't a lot of fifth wheel rail systems out there that do. more

Fifth Wheel Hitch Kit Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Today in our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1300, we'll be installing the Reese Quick-Install custom-based rails installation kit for 5th wheel trailer hitches, part number RP50064-58. Here's what our rails look liked installed. As you can see, they don't take up very much space of our bed at all. They sit relatively flush with the bed so they won't take away from any of our cargo space, especially if we're putting plywood or flat items in the bed of our truck. These rails are constructed of a durable steel construction and have a nice high-gloss black powder coat finish, so they'll give us many years of rust free and corrosion free service. These rails will allow us to attached 5th wheel heads, or gear inaudible 00:00:43 adapters, or any other in-bed accessory that's designed to work with a rail system. We started our installation by removing our spare tire. Once you have your spare tire out of the way, there's this heat shield on the passenger side over the exhaust. It's held in place with several T25 torque screws. more

Demco Underbed Rail Kit Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Demco Underbed Rail and Installation Kit for the Demco Hijacker UnderBed Mount Series Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, part number DM8551002. Something that's really nice about those underbed rails is that not only does it give you full bed access when you don't have the fifth wheel in place, but when you do put the fifth wheel in it's much easier to lock it in place because you don't have to worry about lining up the tabs and then putting the pin through on the underside. Rather, you get the pins down into their location, twist the handles, and they're locked into place. Now let's show you how easy it is to install the fifth wheel hitch from this setup. On this with these silver handles all the way out, that's going to turn these pins into the proper position in order to be able to slide down into the holes in the rails. Once it's down into place, you take these handles and turn them inward in order to lock those pins inside our rails. Once we've got our handles turned inward underneath the lip here, we can take our pins and slide them down through the holes. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to be showing you how to install the B,W custom underbed installation kit for the B,W companion fifth wheel trailer hitches. Part number is BWGNRK1016-5W. This kit's going to allow you to use the B,W companion gooseneck to fifth wheel trailer hitch adapter with dual jaws, with a 20,000 pound weight capacity available in standard configuration. That's part number BWRVK3500 or in a slider version, part number BWRVK3400. The underbed design of this kit allows for for full truck bed access and when youre ready, it's under five minutes to convert your empty truck bed into a fifth wheel hitch off. We'll start off by unlocking our B,W hitch and installing our fifth wheel adapter. We have ours preassembled, but you can adjust your the uprights here depending on your truck and trailer combination. At this point, the hitch is ready to attach to the trailer. more

Reese Quick-Install 5th Wheel Base Rails Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 3500- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Reese Quick Install Custom Base Rails and Outboard Installation Kit for Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitches Part number RP56001-53. Here's what your rails look like once they're installed. See they've got a nice black powder coated finish and they have multiple holes for use with different style fifth wheel hitches. They're compatible with the Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Husky, Reese, and Valley. Here we actually have a Reese fifth wheel hitch installed, part number RP30867, just so you can get an idea what it's going to look like once we have our fifth wheel hitch on our rails. As you can see, we're going to have an nice plate that's going to fit all along the side of our frame rail. It's going to be secured through the frame with two carriage bolts and some blocks, block washers, and nuts. more

Curt Fifth Wheel Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today, in our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we are going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt custom fifth wheel installation kit, part number C16413-204. Here is what they are going to look like installed. As you can see, they've got a nice black powder coated carbide finish. These rails are designed to work with the Curt Q45 fifth wheel hitch, but they are compatible with most fifth wheel hitches on the market that use the drop in with pin style. What is really nice about these, it's going to be minimal drilling. The only holes you are going to have to drill are going to be the ones through your bed. The brackets on the side of the frame are going to use existing holes and they are custom fit for each vehicle. Many of our customers have said they can be a little difficult to install just because of where the nuts are placed on the bottom side of the bed. more

Reese Quick Install Base Rails Kit Installation - 2009 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
On this 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to review and install Part Number RP56007-53. This is Reese Quick Install Custom Base Rails and Outboard installation kit for fifth-wheel trailer hitches. All right, this is what the kit looks like when it's installed in our truck. First off, you can see a long, flat plate that fits on the side of the frame. Now, there are variations in the frame of this truck, so it will accommodate all versions. Now, this does bolt on to the side of the frame using the existing hole here and the fasteners actually work as a clamp on this side of the bracket. This is the passenger's side and this is basically identical to over on our driver's side. Now, when we install this kit, the rails, of course, need holes in the bed of the truck to attach bolts through. On other designs, these bolts are actually towards the inside. more

Today on this 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Crew Cab, we're going to install part number BWGNRK1012-5W. This is a B&W turnover underbed gooseneck trailer hitch with custom install kit. All right, first thing we need to do is go ahead and get our truck ready to install the hitch. What we did was lift it up by the frame, give us room, let the suspension stretch, so we have plenty of room to work in here, because our plates for the hitch are going to mount right in here. Definitely helps, almost a necessity to get the spare tire out of the way as well. All right, next we'll go ahead and remove the heat shield for the spare tire. This will go back up when we're done. more

With this part number you get the 2 bed rails you see here and all the hardware needed to install. This is the rail system that's been along for a very long time, and it's considered a 10-bolt system with 5 bolts on each rail. You have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and then the other 5 on the 2nd rail. It will be your normal 10-bolt system. more

Today, on this 2005 Chevrolet Silverado CrewCab, we're going to install part number BWGNRK1067-5W, custom under-bed installation kit for B&W Companion 5th-wheel trailer hitches. This installation kit can also be used for Gooseneck application as well. The first thing we need to do is go ahead and get our truck ready to install our hitch. First off, we're going to get rid of the spare tire. Of course, this will go back up when we're done. Typically next, you would loosen the exhaust right here, but simply all you would do is just go ahead and loosen off the hangers as far off as you can, and then, just let it hang down. It would be a good idea to use a strap of some sort to help support it while you do that. more

This Underbed Kit can be used with the Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter by replacing the hitch ball with the 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch such as part number BWRVK3500. Now, we can go over operation of our new Gooseneck hitch and ball. To install our Gooseneck ball, well simply pull out on the hitch handle, rotating it towards the cab of the pickup to lock the pin out so we can then take the ball and drop it into the throat of the Gooseneck hitch. Then to release the handle, well simply rotate it towards the rear of the vehicle and the spring pressure will close the pin on the Gooseneck ball.Once were finished using our new Gooseneck ball, well simply pull the handle on the pin again, locking out the hitch pin, taking the ball out, turning it over, and putting it back down into the throat of the Gooseneck hitch and releasing the handle, locking the pin back in position and locking the ball in the stored position.To begin our install, well first go ahead and lower and remove the spare tire and remove both rear wheels. While its not a requirement, it will give us a lot more working room and make an easier install. more

Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we'll be installing the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, part number C16413-204. To start our installation we'll need to remove the rear wheels off the vehicle as well as the spare tire. Now we're going to go ahead and measure for the placement of our front rail. We'll go by the amount specified in the instructions and we'll start with distance into the bed. We'll then center the rail and mark the locations we need to drill for our pilot holes. Today on our 2015 Silverado 3500 we'll be installing the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Install Kit, part number C16413-204. To begin our install we're first going to go ahead and lower and remove the spare tire and both rear wheels. We'll then remove the inner thunder well. Not all applications will have one, but this one does. To remove the inner thunder wells there are a total of twelve fasteners that will need to be removed. These are torque spit screw fasteners. Once we remove the fasteners we can then go ahead and peel the wheel well liner out and remove it. more

Today in our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 crew cab long bed, were going to be installing the Curt custom fifth wheel installation kit for Chevy and GMC models, part number C16413-204. Were going to go ahead and remove the spare tire and just set it out of the way for now. This will give us a little more working room. Were also going to remove both of the rear tires to give us little more working room and make things a little easier to see. First, were going to go ahead and take one of our rails here. Were going to need to measure curvature actions from the rear part of the bed up to the mark that they give you and then well also need to go ahead and center the rail between the wheel wells.Once we have all that done, well go ahead and mark, since this is the front rail, well mark the four outer holes and the same two over on the other side of the rail. more

Today on our 2011 Chevy Silverado, we'll be installing the B&W custom underbed install kit for B&W fifth-wheel companion trailer hitches, Part Number BWGNRK1012-5W. This install kit will include the B&W gooseneck hitch, which will install underbed, Part Number BWGNRK1012. We'll go ahead and go over operation of our new gooseneck hitch. With our gooseneck handle in the locked position, we'll need to unlock it to put our gooseneck ball in place. We'll pull the handle out, rotate the handle forward to hold it out in the unlocked position. Then, we'll go ahead and take our gooseneck ball, drop it in place, and relock the handle by pulling out on the handle, shifting it back towards the rear of the vehicle, and letting it go, and the spring will lock it into place. Go ahead and check the ball. Then, once you're finished using our gooseneck ball, we can turn it over and put it in the stored position by unlocking the handle, turning the ball over, and putting it back down into the gooseneck head. more

Fifth Wheel Base Rail Kit Installation - 2007 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2007 Chevrolet 2007 Silverado Classic 2500HD we'll be installing the Reese Quick Install Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit for Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitches, Part Number RP500064-58. Now that we have the rear tires as well as the spare tire lowered out of the way, we're going to first begin here by removing the heat shield from underneath the passenger's side of the vehicle. You'll need to cut along these lines of the heat shield because these are areas to access just above it to put our rails for the fifth wheel hitch in. Now that we have our heat shield cut out of the way, we're ready to go up into the bed of the vehicle and take some measurements and line up our front rail. Now, because this vehicle is a long bed, or eight foot box bed, we'll be measuring fifty-two and three-eighth inches from the rear of the bed up to the rear edge of the base rail. Now that we have it measured properly and centered on the bed, I will go ahead and make four marks in the four outer holes of the base rail. Once we have the marks on the bed, we'll go ahead and use an eighth-inch drill bit to put a pilot hole in each location. On the driver's side you'll want to be very careful as you're just above the gas tank. Now that we have our pilot hole in each of the four locations, we'll go ahead and hold up our side-plates to make sure our holes line up with the side-plate holes. Now we'll go back up into the bed and step up the hole to a nine-sixteenths hole. more

Reese Quick-Install Custom Fifth Wheel Base Rails Installation - 2012 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2012 Chevy Silverado. We'll be installing the Reese quick install custom base rails with the outpour install kit part number Rp56001-53. To begin our install, we'll first go ahead and remove the rear wheels along with the spare tire. Next we'll take the rear base rail, set it in the bed of the truck measuring from the end of the bed. Note this will not be from the end of the tailgate, from the end of the bed to the rear edge of the base rail as per the instructions. Once we have that measured out, then we'll go ahead and make sure we have the base rail centered from side to side. Now at the rear base rail in position, we'll go ahead mark the five attachment points. more
